Thank You – Annual Conference & AGM 2016

On Saturday the 12th of March, 2016, the 25th annual ASLTIP Conference & AGM took place. We would like to thank all of you who attended for making it a truly remarkable and memorable day.

Running from 8:45am until 5:00pm, the day consisted of 15 speakers, 11 workshops and talks, 1 AGM, 13 exhibitors, 90 attendees and a whole day of success.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those involved in the creation and execution of the ASLTIP Conference & AGM.

Thank you to our conference speakers, Catherine Harris, Jacqueline Wright, Dimitrios Mylonadis, Cliff Turner, Jodi Lea-Trowman, Katie Monnelly, Anna Caute, Judith Buchanan, Sharon Millard, Jan Baerselman, Bryony Rust, Anita McKiernan, Dominique Lowenthal, Libby Hill and of course, our brilliant keynote speaker Iain Upton. Thank you also to David Tyme, who hosted the preconference workshop on Friday the 11th of March. These speakers each delivered presentations that provoked thought, initiated discussion and truly inspired the day’s attendees. Thank you for the time, commitment and skill that you all donated to the day.

Thank you to our exhibitors, I CAN, Tobii Dynavox, The Communication Trust, Total Assist, SV Medical Ltd, Rompa, Crick Software, Clickety Books, Speechmark, Pulse, Talking Mats, J&R Press and Pearson. We appreciate the time you dedicated towards exhibiting at the conference and thank you for the great points of interest that you provided during the day. Thank you especially to I CAN, J&R Press, Speechmark, SV Medical Ltd, Talking Mats, Tobii Dynavox and Total Assist for the fantastic prizes that they all donated towards the prize draw.

Thank you to the day’s photographer, Seb Higgins, who not only documented the day’s events but also provided a free headshot service for all attendees. We look forward to sharing some of these fantastic photographs with you.

A huge thank you must certainly be extended towards the DoubleTree by Hilton Ealing, the hosting venue for the preconference workshop, preconference dinner and the main conference & AGM. The staff once again proved to be incredibly efficient, helpful and professional. They helped to keep the day running smoothly, alongside providing assistance when and where it was needed. They also catered the event with wonderful food, tea and coffee, as well as taking time to ensure that all of our exhibitors, speakers and attendees were comfortable. The conference could not have run nearly as smoothly as it did without the help of this fantastic team.
