I have recently left the NHS where I worked as clinical lead for the special schools team. I specialise in AAC, alternative ways of communicating but have experience working with a wide range of ages, clinical need and settings. I also previously worked within the field of deafness and delivered therapy in BSL. I have always aimed to integrate communication into everyday, functional and meaningful activities in collaboration with families, teaching staff and other professionals. I believe that my role is to support students to be as confident and independent communicators as possible in order prepare for adult life.
