My expertise as a Specialist SLT has been developed across 33yrs (26yrs NHS) working with children and young adults with complex communication needs (including autism). My most recent NHS position was as the Clinical Lead / Therapy Manager for school-aged complex needs children in Leeds Children’s SLT Service (until July 2015)

I work with children, families and support staff across agencies in all settings including the home and use a wide range of approaches, including Intensive Interaction, Makaton, visual supports (including PECS), Talk Tools and PROMPT. I am an Intensive Interaction Co-ordinator, Associate and trainer for the Intensive Interaction Institute, am ADOS trained and have worked as a Makaton Regional Tutor.
