I have over 20 years experience of working with acquired speech, language, voice and swallowing disorders in the NHS. I am passionate about helping people to communicate more effectively and with confidence. I offer a professional and confidential service, and my approaches to assessment and therapy are client centred, in that you will lead the goals that we set together. In my part time specialist job in the NHS (in the North East of England) I work with all adult acquired disorders including stroke, Parkinson’s, MND, MS and voice disorders. I am able to offer advice and support for problems such as aphasia, dysarthria, and dysphagia. Additionally, I have experience of working with respiratory disorders and their impact on throat irritation and swallowing. I can also offer therapy techniques for increasing confidence in communicating, whether this is for public speaking or social interaction. I offer flexible home visits during the day, some evenings and some weekends. For further information, please visit www.totalspeechtherapy.co.uk
