With over 20 years’ experience in the NHS, Joy now works independently, with adults who stammer; and children, teenagers and young people with speech and language difficulties, including dysfluency. Part of the Birmingham Stammering Network and Specialist in Stammering, she is trained in Palin PCI, The Lidcombe Programme, SCERTS, Camperdown and uses a wide range of fluency approaches.
She incorporates Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy ideas into her work. Joy offers assessment and treatment sessions in a variety of settings as needed, including Teletherapy sessions where appropriate. Contact her for a further discussion of your individual needs.
