I am a specialist speech and language therapist with seventeen years experience. My specialist areas are stroke, Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions. Please take a look at my website www.speechtreatment.co.uk. I am dedicated and passionate for the successful remediation of speech, voice and communication difficulties. I am a Lee Silverman Voice Therapy (LSVT) certified practitioner, treating people with LSVT for the last eight years. This type of voice therapy is beneficial to a range of clients including people with Parkinson’s, dystonia and cerebral palsy. I believe private therapy can be offered alongside NHS treatment and I will support you to achieve your goals. Research and innovation is also important to me, so I am now trained to use PROMPT in therapy. PROMPT stands for Prompts Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets, which means it is a systematic approach to enabling people to speak when even making any speech sounds is difficult. I can come and visit you at home, or you are welcome to see me in an outpatient clinic. I welcome any enquiries, so please do drop me an email if you prefer and we can discuss what you need.
