I’m a highly experienced and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist with a history of working across a broad range of client groups, mainly in the paediatric field but also with adults with learning difficulties.
For the last twelve years I have been working in a wide range of mainstream and special schools and also within various Designated Special Provisions (DSP’s) with children with specific language impairment now known as Developmental language disorder (DLD), Downs Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I have worked in both the NHS and private sector. I am passionate about my role and will work to coach the Parents/carers/staff to help the child to communicate using a total communication approach. The main focus of my work is to provide an exceptional service and to work in collaboration with the wider multidisciplinary team around the child.
I’m a dedicated therapist and always use a person centred approach to my therapy which results in better outcomes. I inform Parents/staff/carers of the most tailored and evidence based techniques that will benefit their child and family.
