Amanda specialises in diagnosing and providing therapy for children and adolescents with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) and speech disorders including Developmental Verbal Dyspraxia.
Amanda has experience working with children aged 2-17 in their home, nursery, school, college and via teletherapy. She is passionate about working closely with families and schools.
Amanda has been an SLT since 2009 and has worked privately since 2014. Amanda also worked in the NHS until 2020 and now part time for a charity where she has built specialist skills in Down syndrome.
Amanda is a RADLD ambassador, has spoken at many DLD events held by the RCSLT and Clinical Excellence Networks. Amanda with a colleague wrote the book DLD and Me: Supporting Children and Young People with Developmental Language Disorder and this programme won the Sternberg Award for Clinical Innovation in 2019.
