Over the years I have specialised in working with children with Special Educational Needs/Complex Needs. I’ve had the opportunity to work in many settings (both NHS and private sectors) in the UK as well as abroad. I really enjoy working in the field of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) with both verbal and non verbal children. I’m experienced in administering specialist assessments such as ADOS as well as using specialist approaches to develop communication skills such as; PECS, TEACCH, Lego Therapy, high and low tech communication aids and the use of visuals. I’m passionate about integrated assessment and treatment approaches and I feel that working closely with parents and other professionals can maximise a child’s communication potential.
